These are our loyal ReStore super shoppers, an integral part of the store that builds homes, communities, and hope! Super shoppers are frequent fliers at ReStore, always on the lookout for the latest markdowns and in-the-know about the best deals.
Meet Maribel
Maribel has been one of those dedicated super shoppers at ReStore Concord for over 10 years! When ReStore Concord moved to 2080 Diamond Boulevard, just a few blocks away from Maribel’s job, she was in the midst of a bathroom remodel. The new location was perfect for Maribel to frequently stop by after work and scope out new arrivals she could use for her renovation.
“I knew I had this project to do, so I kept on coming in every week to get the right tiling, the right everything,” Maribel said. “I kept on coming back until I got what I needed and got my bathroom done.”
Bargains & Unexpected Finds
Maribel’s secret to getting the best deals? Patience. During her bathroom remodel, Maribel was in a hurry to purchase a toilet and turned to a traditional retail store. “I bought the same one [ReStore] had and I paid $250 and here it was $100” Maribel said. “I’d rather just wait and get it for a good price and do the project cheaper. Why go out and buy something new when you can get a better deal?”
Now that her bathroom remodel is complete, Maribel is already moving on to her next project “Now I want to change the flooring in my living room, kitchen,” said Maribel. “I’m coming in here once a week or twice a week to make sure to look for flooring.” This time, Maribel is determined to save money and get the best deal at ReStore.
But, you won’t just find Maribel shopping building materials. Decorating and reorganizing her home is a hobby for Maribel, one that’s much more affordable at ReStore. Once when shopping for furniture, she stumbled upon the perfect match for her home, literally: “I came in here and found two cream colored chairs that I already had,” Maribel said. “I just needed the two and I found them here!”
What makes ReStore Special
Maribel isn’t just a super shopper, she’s a ReStore donor, too! Years ago, Maribel bought new lighting for her hallway from ReStore. When she decided it was time for a change, she donated it back to ReStore. “I brought it back here so [ReStore] can resell it again because it’s still perfect!”
Maribel can narrow down her favorite things about ReStore Concord to two things: “I’m a big thrift shopper so I just think the deals here are great,” Maribel said. “And the people here. I could walk in and everybody’s friendly. Everybody’s so nice.”
Maribel’s advice to others looking to improve their homes on a budget? “Just come here first! Forget everything else. Come here first for lighting, for flooring, for tile, for furniture, lamps, bathroom accessories.”
