This is an excellent way to help the community and make use of things that would otherwise be
thrown away! Kudos and Blessings to Habitat!

Hi, I relocated from MD, Oct,2020, stayed with family 4months and my church LDS bought my brand new sturdy bed, & dinnet set also new. The church showed a lot of love to me upon my arrival here. Then someone told me about Habitat For Humanity, MD has one I patronized, I love their stores, the service is wonderful better than some name brand stores I could mention but won’t. I went to the Oakland Store, and loved it! I’ve turned several church members & others into this store! And the way I explain them to people is: They have everything you could need for your house except food! Lol 😆. And it’s true! I have had the privilege of purchasing a black leather recliner for $45. A blond wooden & white leather chair to match my bed for $5.00 on sale, a beautiful three tiered carved on one side all wood for my office area, an antique school desk for $12.50 another sale item and this was an old desk and I’m 72 & in college so it was seriously needed. In short everything that Habitat sells it even gives away is always in good usable condition, clean, no bugs! You’re pleased when you see it and even more so when you get it home and position it! I wish I could post a picture of my office or some of the pieces I’ve purchased from Habitat For Humanity! I’m going there for my new couch next, I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else especially on my limited income. Not only that they truly help the community as one comment was previously made, words so true! The staff is just great! And they changed the look of the Oakland store looks ad good as any furniture store you’d go into. It looks great! I was quite impressed! Thanks Habitat cause my apartment is so cool and I hooked it up with your products so thanks! From one loyal customer! Ms. Anderson of San Leandro CA. “Stay in business for us”! 😀 Thanks again!

Jimmy Carter, former President of the United States, who helped found Habitat for the Humanities is still alive and 100 years young! Thank you, Jimmy, for caring enough to begin this journey with us. Let’s remember this former president and pray for his good health.
