What is the story of home?
It’s the story of kids playing in their own yard while mom or dad cook in their own kitchen.
It’s the story of everyday security and dreams for the future.
It’s the story of an affordable home a family built themselves with help from Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley, volunteers, and neighbors like you.
These are the stories of home – the stories you help build when you shop and/or donate to Habitat for Humanity ReStores in Concord, Oakland, and San Jose.
The ReStore story of home begins with our donors’ stories.
Whether you donate old cabinets, leftover building materials, or appliances replaced during a recent remodel, your donation to ReStore creates a unique inventory for shoppers to give your donation a second life. Donors start their ReStore story by making sure their donation meets our donation criteria and then dropping off your donation at your neighborhood ReStore or scheduling a convenient curbside pick up!
The ReStore story home finishes with our shoppers’ stories
Whatever brings you into ReStore – whether you are a do-it-yourselfer, a treasure hunter or a professional contractor – you can always expect to find an ever-changing selection of reusable building materials, appliances, new and gently used furniture, and home accessories priced at a fraction of retail prices at ReStore. The proceeds from your sale are then funneled back to Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon valley to help build the story of home for more Bay Area families. Start your shopper’s story by visiting one of our three ReStore locations in Oakland, Concord, and San Jose.
