Everyday, Habitat ReStores reduce the amount of quality, usable home goods in landfills by giving them a second life in a new home. But what about the many reusable or recyclable materials we can’t accept for resale? Where can you recycle paint, clothing, or your college laptop?
This Earth Month, ReStore is hosting a ReCycling & ReUse Drive in partnership with The East Oakland Collective, Tech Exchange, and PaintCare!
On April 25th – 27th – for three days only – you can drop off old computers & accessories, leftover paint, and gently used clothes, shoes, and household textiles at our ReStore locations in Concord, San Jose, and Oakland. If saving these materials from landfill isn’t enough of a reward, you’ll get a 15% OFF* ReStore coupon for dropping off items for recycling! And, we’ll be celebrating secondhand treasures all weekend long with 30% OFF* donated items during the drive!
See below for more details on what items we’re able to accept, and to learn more about our amazing partners in sustainability. ReStore is looking for volunteer support to help facilitate the drive, so if you’re eco-friendly and looking to connect with your community, sign up to volunteer!
