Kick off Earth Month at Free Furniture Friday at ReStore Oakland!

Join us at ReStore Oakland on Friday, April 3, for FREE Furniture Friday starting at 9 a.m. Everything with a purple tag — furniture, building materials, home décor, artwork, lighting, and more  —  will be FREE while supplies last!

You read that right  — ReStore is giving furniture away! Is this too good to be true? Why would a store give away products? No, this is not a scam. We are truly giving away select furniture, home decor, lighting, and much more as part of our sustainability efforts.

What’s free and why?

Every day is Earth Day at ReStore! We are committed to reducing waste and finding new homes for every pre-loved piece that comes through our doors. Rather than dropping it off at a dump, ReStore donors drop off gently used donations of home goods, furnishings, or building materials. If we are not able to sell a donated item  — maybe it didn't pass our quality test or it got overlooked by busy shoppers for too long  — it still passes the dumpster when we can give it away for free! 

So, just because great items get overlooked doesn’t mean they should end up in a landfill!

On Friday, April 3, you can expect to find more than just free furniture. Find free home décor, lighting, artwork, building materials, and more! Just look for the purple FREE FURNITURE FRIDAY label to find what’s free!

Only available while supplies last. All items must be taken immediately, no holds. Loading assistance not provided. All items must be verified by staff before leaving the store. Please note that donation drop off, mattress recycling, and purchased item pickup will be paused at ReStore Oakland from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
