When you make a charitable donation of inventory to ReStore, the profits from the sale of that inventory directly support Habitat for Humanity. Whether our partnership is short-term or ongoing, it will have a big impact at Habitat. Bulk donations of all sizes support our efforts to build and preserve affordable housing in the Bay Area.

When your business donates unsold inventory, you’re creating opportunities for families and individuals to furnish their homes and take on home improvement projects, while saving money for necessities.
When you donate inventory, you may be able to receive significant tax credits for the value of your donation. The potential savings here are likely greater than what a liquidator would pay for those same goods.
As a registered nonprofit, Habitat for Humanity can provide the necessary paperwork to claim the value of the donation. However, donors are responsible for completing the necessary tax forms to take advantage of their tax write-off.*
The logistics of reuse can be complicated, but ReStore makes it a quick and painless process for our commercial donors. In most cases, ReStore will pick up inventory directly from your site and provide the peace of mind that the great stuff you’ve got is going to people who can put it to use.
How to Donate Inventory
To donate, contact our Commercial Donations team at email@example.com. Please provide the name and location of your organization in your correspondence.
ReStore will work with you to arrange a site visit to evaluate suitability of the inventory. Once we can confirm the excess inventory fits our criteria, we will establish a timeline for transporting the goods to our stores.
