How to Donate Inventory

To donate, contact ReStore Business Development Coordinator David Gray by email at DGray@HabitatEBSV.org or by phone at (510) 803-3353. Please provide the name and location of your organization in your correspondence.

ReStore will work with you to arrange a site visit to evaluate suitability of the inventory. Once we can confirm the excess inventory fits our criteria, we will establish a timeline for transporting the goods to our stores.

Tax Credits

When you donate inventory, you may be able to receive significant tax credits for the value of your donation. The potential savings here are likely greater than what a liquidator would pay for those same goods.

As a registered nonprofit, Habitat for Humanity can provide the necessary paperwork to claim the value of the donation. However, donors are responsible for completing the necessary tax forms to take advantage of their tax write-off.*
