ReStore volunteer, Alice Impraim has been dedicating her time to our ReStore in Concord since the day it opened in July 2015, but her
connection with Habitat for Humanity goes back to more than 20 years! Alice began volunteering with Habitat East Bay/Silicon Valley, and the former Mount Diablo Habitat affiliate, by preparing lunch with her church group to feed the volunteers on Habitat construction sites. She later became a construction volunteer herself, working on sites in Pittsburg, Livermore, Bay Point, Walnut Creek, and most recent our development in Martinez.
According to Alice, Habitat’s mission of providing affordable housing for those in need that has kept her engaged with us for so many years. However, Alice’s dedication as also been an inspiration to others, including Tori Bommarito, Faith & Community Partnerships Manager. “Volunteers like Alice inspire others to get involved,” Tori shared. It makes such a difference to have volunteers on board who are committed on a personal level, they are the heart of Habitat’s mission.
Thank you, Alice, for your 20+ years of dedication!
