Retired East Bay native, Mary Harper has been part of the Oakland ReStore volunteer team for over a year. She dedicates half her week to helping our donation and logistics team by processing donation information across all four of our ReStores. With Mary’s help, over 3,500 donations have been entered into our database since July 2016.

“Mary has really taken charge with her role here at the ReStore. She has taken on a very tough job with an ever growing workload and made it look easy! I can’t overstate what a big help she’s been,” says Bryan Kilgore, ReStore Logistics Manager.

Mary’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity began 10 years ago when she started as a donor. She was more recently introduced to ReStore when she happened upon our grand opening at the Concord ReStore. While looking for volunteer opportunities on Craigslist, she found a posting for help at our Oakland Store and has been dedicated to volunteering ever since.

With volunteers like Mary who help at our ReStores, Habitat is able to build more than homes, we can build communities. Join our volunteer team today and help build strength, stability, and self-reliance for Bay Area families.
