The holiday season is almost upon us, and that means it’s time to make a holiday budget.
While it’s meant to be cheery, for many, the most wonderful time of the year is overshadowed by unexpected expenses and seemingly inevitable financial woes. Sound familiar? Make this year different!
Holiday Budget Tips
Holiday shopping without a plan leads to buying under pressure, impulse purchases and, ultimately, getting into debt. But a little planning can stretch your holiday budget and save you from starting off the new year in the red.
- Set a limit on what you can spend during the holidays based on what your budget allows.
- List all the expenses you will have and allocate a portion of your holiday budget to each.
- Don’t use credit cards to fill in the gaps.
To share more helpful tips and keep your holiday season merry, bright and debt-free, we’re offering a free workshop on Budgeting for the Holidays. Join us:
